Bolded are WSU and WSU's scheduled or potential (Diamondhead Classic) opponents this year. Utah and Memphis are the scheduled opponents. Nebraska, Colorado and George Washington are in Hawaii with WSU, and facing 2 of those 3 teams looks likely, if WSU can take care of business in the first game.

I haven't kept up with everyone's schedules, so if anyone is playing the teams in the poll, please list. We can just keep this thread running as the location for national polls and discussion throughout the year.

For the Las Vegas Invitational, the Sycamores will play Illinois then either Memphis or Baylor.

Braves play Memphis on Dec 6 and Kansas State on Dec 9. K-State is 28 and Memphis is 31 in the Coaches Poll.

The big question going into those games is whether projected starting PG Sutherland (fractured ring finger) is back, and whether he gets cleared early enough to get up to speed. The doctors give him a chance to make the Thanksgiving trip to Corpus Christi to face TCU and either Mississippi State or SLU.

UNI has Virginia Commonwealth and Iowa, also Stephen F Austin who got 1 vote

Not much for ranked or receiving votes, but still a solid schedule.

Going to be really interesting to see how WSU is covered by the media this year with that ranking. All evidence I've seen so far is that the Kentucky game completely changed the narrative we had to suffer through last season.

Where's Illinois State?

I guess Dan Muller didn't get to vote in this poll?

Just goes to show, losing is the only way you can get any respect.

Which is hilarious considering that was the joke all year on ShockerNet. Watching team after team after team get credit for their "quality losses."

It was actually true. We got more respect for losing to Kentucky than we likely would have got for blowing them out. We blow them out and people just argue that they were overrated all year and it wasn't impressive ... we lose in epic fashion, and they nearly win a championship without Cauley-Stein, and it's a whole different narrative.

... I'd rather have another Final Four and still have people question us, though.
