2013-'14 should be remembered for all time as the year of the "quality loss". In an ironic twist, WSU fans were appalled all season by media giving credit to teams that were losing games.

Marshall got reamed for commenting that a team that remained above WSU in the polls had another week with another "quality Loss" and that WSU wasn't fortunate enough to have any of those. Then WSU got possibly the best "quality loss" of all time.

Kentucky, with something like 8 McD's AA's on their roster, is considered to have played their best game of the season to beat WSU, which had nothing but a cupcake schedule. The Shox got more respect from losing to UK than they got for going undefeated into the NCAA tourney.

Kansas had several more quality losses than Wichita last year.

WSU up to #8 in the AP poll. UNI is just outside at #26! Come on UNI, make it happen this week.

Luckily, one of WSU's opponents this week, Utah, has slipped back in at #25. So, hopefully, WSU can rack up a Top 25 win and clear a spot for UNI in the same go on Wednesday.

UNI only has one game this week and it should be a fairly easy win (George Mason in Cedar Falls). Should be in around 23rd next week.

Best of luck to the Panthers- it would be great having two teams ranked.

That @ Denver, @ VCU, vs. Iowa (n) stretch is gonna be a big test for you guys. Win 2 out of 3 and I think you'll earn some staying power in the polls.

While I'd be thrilled to see another Valley team ranked, I don't believe UNI has done anything to be ranked except win more games than most everyone has played at this point. I'm not knocking them, but is Richmond their best win? Beat VCU and split with Iowa and Denver and I'm on board. I would be surprised to find out that more than a handful of Panther fans think they are 1 of the 25 best teams in the country, at least right now.

Ummmm, @SFA. They only won 30 game. Last year and had won 34 straight at home.

We're deserving.

Count me among the "handful" of Panther fans who think we're playing at a level deserving a top 25 ranking this year. What we've done on paper is enough IMO, but there is a spark with this team I don't think was there last year. Tuttle isn't only a damn good player, he's turning into a real leader.

Not to mention, UNI has beaten a BIG 10, ACC, and A10 team.
Think they're well deserving to be ranked.
Wanna go that route...really?
Who, then has SHOX beaten to ranked 8th?
Shouldn't be questioning any rankings that The VALLEY can get, no matter what school.
Nothing between UNI and WSU means anything until Jan. 31.
Should be happy for them and proud of the conference.
