Pretty cool and best of luck. It would be fun to have UNI toting its highest ever rank when WSU pulls into town next weekend. Should be a terrific atmosphere.

We have 3 tough games between us and WSU though! Home vs ISUb, away vs ISUr, and away vs SIU (which always gives us trouble). Should be interesting. The atmosphere will be great as it is already sold out! Hopefully we hold up our end of the bargain and come in at 19-2, but I think there are 3 teams that will have a big say in that.

This stretch of 4 games are 4 that UNI lost last year. Home to ISUb, at ISUr and at SIU, and home to WSU.

We're pulling for you to go 3-1. :D

Will be interesting to see where both teams check in today.

Even though WSU and Creighton were both ranked for much of 2011-12 and 2012-13, I am almost positive they were never both ranked in the AP Poll at the time they matched up against each other in any of the five matchups during those two years.

If anyone knows the last time two ranked MVC foes faced off, I would be grateful and interested.

I am curious as well. I thought for sure that the game in Omaha one year both teams were ranked, but don't honestly recall.

I know that it is the first time UNI has been ranked and hosted a ranked team.

1982.

I don't have a link, but heard it somewhere.

Really with ESPN would have put it on the main channel rather than the deuce for prestige purposes...

Fun weekend ahead. Good luck to both teams in their mid-week contests.

If it wasn't for The ACC schedule of UL hosting UNC, SHOX-UNI would be the premier college marquee match-up of the weekend.
In the mid-west ESPN market....ESPN flag ship will be dwarfed by the ESPN2 numbers in the 3-5pm CST time slot on Saturday.

go shox
go uni
go valley

SHOX and The MVC getting little love from the coaches poll.
Dropped 5 spots, while taking a loss against UNI.
UNC gained a spot, while losing to Louisville.

There is one moron named Ron Morris who has Wichita at 15 and UNI at 23, I can understand if a voter has the shockers maybe a spot higher than UNI, but after a 16 point win against the Shockers to have the Panthers first of all at 23 and 8 spots behind Wichita is ridiculous.
