We're entering the home stretch in the OOC with some fun games on tap Saturday.

#11 WSU @ Detroit, 11 AM on ESPNU
Indiana State @ Iona, 1 PM
Evansville vs. Murray State, 1 PM
Drake @ Green Bay, 4 PM on ESPN3/FullCourt
Missouri State @ SEMO, 6 PM on ESPN3/FullCourt
#23 UNI @ VCU, 7 PM on NBC Sports
Loyola vs. Jackson State, 7 PM

Drake and ISUb are looking at a rough afternoon, but the other games are very winnable. Obviously a huge road test for the Panthers.

Wichita down by 7 in the 2nd half to 6-3 Detroit. What's going on there?

This is definitely not last years wsu team. Still very good, and I think still have a very good chance to win the league. However, I think UE and UNI aren't to far behind them.

Juwan Howard, Jr. went off, and we shot poorly from 3 (took some late 3s to get us above 30% for the game).

Still a 9 point road win. Probably the weakest overall game from WSU this year, though. That's a game we likely would have lost if Carter was in foul trouble the way he has often been this year.

Can't play 40 minutes of perfect basketball all the time. Also, WSU will always be getting a lot of opponents' A games. With that said, WSU didn't pay too hot. Free throw shooting is a problem and toughness was an issue for a while. Darius Carter came to play in the second half. Despite all the problems, WSU just has a bunch of winners. And that's what helped them here.

Take the W and move on. Dickie V. walks into Koch on Tuesday.

Still got the bulls eye on our back, but the cloak of invincibility has been removed.

quit being a drama queen. When has the "bulls eye" ever been removed? 1990's? It is basketball. Your opponent has a say - Detroit elevated their play for awhile but couldn't sustain it. These type of games happen every day, that is why the BCS teams don't want to play Mid-Majors.
