Cle was the difference. He could take over short spurts and just kill teams. VanVleet and Baker are great, but they don't have the ability to dominate by themselves. Cotton has to be better offensively as well...

If they play defense like they did in the last 5 minutes against Alabama, they won't lose any Valley games.

I think anywhere between 0-2 games. I split the difference and voted for 1.

They'll lose 2 or 3. The Valley has 3 solid teams capable of scoring and shooting well on a given night.

Those 6 games probably result in 2 or 3 loses when a headscratcher is mixed in.

That being said, WSU is still the best defensive team in the league, by far, the most battle tested, by far, and has the best coach and the best talent. Their A game beats everyone elses A game.

If Morris can develop and Kelly continues his trend and they stay healthy (EW is knicked up at least) somebody is going to have play really well to beat this team. They aren't a 1 seed, but they're still damned good.

There are just better Valley teams this year.

Missouri St? They may have a hiccup to a team they shouldn't lose to, but why pick Missouri St?

Isn't that the whole point? A hiccup to a team they shouldn't lose to. I guess pick whoever, right? No rhyme or reason.

No doubt WSU will miss Cle but I disagree that Baker can't dominate and take over games. He's shown that ability when the Shox have needed it. Dude looks like he can score at will sometimes even more so than Cle IMO.
