all 10 teams playing on Saturday

12:05pm Bradley @ Indiana State - no TV - Sycamores need to win to have a shot at the 3 seed. No pushover and Bradley usually plays well vs. ISU

1pm Illinois State @ Loyola - ESPN3 - big game for both teams, ILS needs to win to stay in the race for a top 5 seed, Loyola needs a win to avoid Thursday possibilities.

2:05pm UE @ Drake - no TV, can Drake win 2 straight, tough game for UE on the road.

3pm - WSU @ UNI - ESPN2 - obviously the game of the season so far, winner gets an edge for the 1 seed.

7:05pm SIU @ Missouri State - ESPN3 - someone will get that 3rd MVC win here.

current standings

WSU 9-0
UNI 8-1
INS 6-3
UE 6-3
ILS 5-4
LU 3-6
DU 2-7
SIU 2-7
MSU 2-7
BU 2-7

a mad scramble between those bottom 5 to avoid Thursday. That 6 spot is wide open

It was announced yesterday that he will "likely miss 3-4 more weeks".

That means that the likely best case scenario is he returns for our home game vs UNI on Feb 18. Likely worst case is Feb 25 at Drake. But, at this point, I'm not ruling anything out.

That 6 spot eww...somebody has to get it. Loyola is really hurting playing without Doyle. Loyola better figure out a way go on a win streak otherwise SIU or Drake will steal that 6th spot. I think Mo state and Bradley are more likely to b the 9th and 10th seed.

Damn that is rough for the Ramblers. They looked to be having a top half of the conference season going on until he got hurt. Hopefully they can scratch out a few wins between now and when he comes back to avoid Thursday in STL.

UE almost always has trouble in Des Moines.
Drake might have some momentum from the win in Peoria.
Dangerous game for the Aces.

Re WSU v. UNI

If Carter does not play, then UNI going away.

If Carter plays, then I have no idea.

Five of Loyola's remaining nine games are against the bottom four teams, and only two remain against the top four (both at home). Schedule favors the Ramblers to avoid Thursday, but they'll probably have to find a way to get a win or two before Doyle returns.

I wish Loy well. Loy played us pretty scrappy in Wichita. Very scrappy.

I hope you have some size recruited.
