Gavin wasn't wanted anymore. It wasn't a case of making room for jucos Lusk has lost that whole recruiting class....the first full year recruiting class. There have been more of Lusks recruits leave than stay.

That's not really what was said. I said there was no hope in sight for MoSt. Wufan responded to me, saying that wasn't true because MoSt might have two JUCO AAs coming in -- thus implying hope. I responded to Wufan stating that the addition of two JUCOs would "definition change the importance" of losing Thurman.

Regardless of when or how the departures take place, if Thurman was on last year's team and in his place are JUCO AAs next year, he's been replaced by them, and the importance of his loss is drastically reduced.

Seeing rumors on twitter that Jordan Caroline is also leaving SIU. If true, that really hurts Barry's rebuilding efforts.

Starting to feel like Lowery really did irreparable damage to that program. I have no idea where you go from here. Totally blow up the program, resign yourself to a couple of winless seasons and hire a young guy with a crazy positive attitude that won't be beaten down by starting his career 3-57?

Can you imagine where they'd be if Desmar hadn't stuck around and Barry didn't get Anthony Beane Sr to say yes??

The funniest part of all of this is Green Bay wants Lowery...

Good grief. Sorry Salukis.

I guess the only question is whether they can afford to can Barry now or have to wait another year.

If Lowery is off the market, he won't have anything to say.

I really liked those two Salukis. This puts SIU in a bad place.

Really wonder what's going on in Saluki-town. Are they being poached, pushed or just don't want to be in Carbondale anymore (honestly, that's probably the most likely answer).
[Insert snappy comeback]
