My understanding is that there are no ratings for CBS Sports Network because CBS doesn't pay for them. If it's anything like FOX Sports 1 or NBCSN, it is terribad.

The CBS network is to FS1 and NBCSN what FS1 and NBCSN are to ESPN. They're not even trying to compete and seem happy to use the channel as a backup for sports programming that won't fit on CBS proper.

If the Sun Belt is charging $2 mill to join, we're stuck with MSU forever.

Which is odd, since CBS was the first direct competitor to ESPN when they acquired and rebranded CSTV, although they did go solely with the college niche before the NCAA realized that the could get reliable streaming from most of its membership. At least FS1 and NBCSN have platforms and programming now, so they are well-positioned to grow rapidly in the next few years.

any dreams that might have still lingered about MSU and the Sun Belt are dead, they picked Coastal Carolina (over Eastern Kentucky, FWIW)

I assume there will be a tremendous bonfire visible from my porch in Kansas, as they burn all those sealed envelopes in Springfield.

Hardly. Idaho and NMSU are still in the Sun Belt and the Belt has made no bones about it that they would like to get teams closer than those two. I have no doubt that if MSU wanted and was ready to go, they would replace Idaho
