Unfortunately, the ACC tourney ND team showed up as opposed to the first two rounds of the NCAAT team. Not much the Shox could have done tonight.

Congrats on another awesome season. Sweet 16 is something many programs would kill for. Hope Marshall stays and continues the success there.

Great season Shox, as others said, noone was gonna beat ND tonight playing like that. They were hitting everything. Whatever they did in that timeout after WSU took the lead sure worked.

MVC will continue to be strong!

After Wichita State went up by one early in the second half, Notre Dame went 15-17 for 88.2% to blow it open to a 19 point lead.

If they shot a normal percentage, I like our chances. When they're shooting like that, no chance. But a lot of that was on us not having good transition defense.

Proud of this team. Depressing watching Cotton leave for the last time.

Plus, bitch slapping Kansas right out of the tourney isn't a bad consolation prize.

WSU deserves plenty of kudos out on yet another incredible season and run to the Sweet 16,,,,,VERY cool!!

Both the Shockers and UNI repped the Valley in the NCAA. WSU ran into a Fighting Irish team that just scorched the nets in the second half. 75 % ....that's almost superhuman.

Valley teams still have a shot to WIN two post=season tourneys with UE in the CIT semis and LUC in the CBI finals. And that ISU Redbird NIT game at ODU was a heartbreaker 1 point loss (closest home win ODU had all year including wins over VCU and Murray St). ODU has won 24 in a row at home...that's crazy.

Think the top half of the MVC this year was VERY strong and it showed in the post-season tourneys. Next year should be a good one with ISU and UE bringing almost everybody back, WSU should be #1 again and UNI plus LUC should be pretty darn good. The arrow is definitely pointing way up for the MVC....LOVE IT!

So go UE Aces and LUC Ramblers.....keep repping the Valley

Really an unbelievable 3 year run that we will probably never see in the Valley again:

2012-13 - Final Four
2013-14 - undefeated regular season
2014-15 - Sweet 16

It does all depend on how the young bigs develop. I think Carlson and Koch will both be good, but they will only be Sophomores next year. I would love to see Freidman make a big jump forward, but I am not optimistic about him. I think McDonnell will be very very good in his time, but he will be a true freshman next year. The 6'11 guy out of Minnesota, Dahl, could be a wild card. Hard to find that sort of size at this level.

The guards will not be an issue with Washpun, Lohaus, Morgan, Jesperson, and Bohannon returning. The only loss there is Mitchell who we will miss, but is not irreplaceable.

I think Top 3 is not out of the question, but Top 5 is entirely more likely. Again if Koch and Carlson are progressing we could very well end up in the Top 3 with the guard play we have.
