In all seriousness, people that post random Twitter gossip as legitimate "sources" drive me insane. He has 1200 followers. In what universe do people think someone with 1200 Twitter followers and no other obvious credibility is going to break a big story on anything? That's like sourcing something by linking you to a message board post.

That's why he mentioned Marshall's name. So that even though it's BS, he can say "look how good Iowa State is! Gregg Marshall just signed a contract to be one of the ten highest paid coaches in the country and even he's interested!"

None of what i reported on today was made up. All thing's I've been hearing. I'm no Brian Williams. I can say Marshall was false.

Details of Marshall's contract came out today.

1) 3 Million per year with 650 K in extra incentives each year.

2) In 2-3 years, it goes up to 3.5 million with incentives.

3) WSU Assistant Coaches received 650 K contract raises.

4) 7 year contract with automatic rollover each year.

To clarify #3, that's the pool of total funds to pay for three assistants plus the DOBO, which is pretty good dough. You could have a payout like this:

Associate HC: 275k
2nd assistant: 160k
3rd assistant: 125k
DOBO: 90k
