With Lynch now gone this could be an ISU vs BU battle. Bielfeldt is from Peoria and played at Peoria Notre Dame.

Not being biased but you have to think ISU has the edge here. Connections with playing with the brother of our DOBO, but he is from Peoria. Hoping he comes to the Birds

I think the Gilfillan connections help. That said, his grandparents were at the Brian Wardle introductory press conference and have been LONG time Bradley people. And while B/N is close, it isn't "home". The Bielfeldt family has given over $20 million to Bradley over the years.

I actually think he doesnt even end up in the MVC.

Did ISU recruit him out of HS?

According to Rivals, Scout and verbalcommits he was not.

Why is he good enough for a scholarship now?

Bradley did, ISU did not.

Because hes 23 years old. Big, strong and experienced. He averaged 5.8 pts and 4.6 rebs a game in Big Ten Conference games. Not All-World but he would help a lot of MVC teams inside for one season and he is eligible to play right away.

Yeah. I get the frustration from ISUr fans. But this is still funny.

Muller wasn't the coach when Bielfeldt was a senior. Also, Jank didn't have rides open.

And uniftw, I can tell you're really getting a kick out of this whole thing.

Pitino wasn't the Minnesota coach when Lynch was a senior either, was he?

details...

Muller took over 12-13
Pitino took over 13-14

Lynch graduated HS the 2012-2013 season
Bielfeldt graduated HS the 2010-2011 season

Minnesota is actually listed on Lynch's Rivals profile...

So...

Can't have one be okay and not the other when the situations are pretty much exactly the same.
