The Redbirds are in Mexico at the Cancun Challenge.

Illinois State plays likely top-5 Maryland.

Rhode Island plays TCU on the other side of the bracket.

ISUred will also play South Dakota St. stateside not part of the bracket.

Would appreciate ISUr winning that one. Would help them, the league, and hand a loss to one of the few teams that apparently will start the season ranked ahead of the Shox.

That being said, woof, that is a tall task. Maryland looks formidable this season. Never know on a neutral court though!

If Diamond Head uses RPI from last year like usual. The bracket looks like this...

1 UNI
8 Washington State

4 Harvard
5 Auburn

2 Oklahoma
7 New Mexico

3 BYU
6 Hawaii

UNI is also playing at New Mexico as part of the tournament.

Auburn should be better than last year's RPI. Should help if UNI can win.

I guess MSU and AZ couldn't think of a better way to arrange a game?
