ho-hum first 30-35 minutes against ISUR, then 2 steals, crazy flip shot and just about anything else you can ask from a freshman.

Will Dixon, Kreklow, Church, and Kendrix stick around? Will Lusk run them out befor his contract expires?

I think they stay because they are coachable kids, who have gotten better despite the fact that many believe Lusk does not develop players. Work ethic and not relying on what got you there has a lot to do with development.

Kendrix I don't know. $100 worth of talent on a .05 cent head. Lusk has issues with talented, entitled kids. Every kids different, but punishment has to be equal. I hope Kendrix stays just because he will be a very good player for us. But if he does not push himself to get better, he will be another Lusk casualty.

van Bree had a very good game against Bears Tuesday night. Impressive, stroked the trey, nailed mid-range shots in the lane from 12-15', hit boards pretty hard. Also, 'nother frosh, Lautier-Ogunleye played well. Don't doubt that BU's frosh are ascending more rapidly now on the ol' learning curve.

Church from MSU gets big ooh's and aah's with his blocks and dunks, but Dixon brings just as much to the table now with his defense, scoring, passing.

Agreed on Dixon. I really like him. And I have been bullish on van Bree since the season started. He is highly skilled. He had a 3-4 minute stretch the other night where he hit a six footer after a post move, then a 10 foot fade away, an alley oop dunk and finally a baseline three pointer.

Roland Griffin leaves ISUr team citing "medical reasons". I will state this once, it was NOT Dan Muller's fault.

Huge loss. He was going to be great.

He won't win the award, but Drake's Dominik Olejniczak has really come on strong at the end of the season. He didn't enter the starting line-up until 3 games ago, but he shot over 76% from the field in conference games (54-71), and was over 70% for the entire season. His Kenpom offensive rating in conference games only was 122, tops in the conference.

He won't win FOY, but I wouldn't trade him for any other freshman in the league.
