Wow, this is an argument in and of itself (not to be had out here)....Kris Dunn might argue this statement a bit.

You can't name a "best PG" because there are so many different ways to define that. Fred is definitely in the conversation for Best PG though. That was his point. Having Fred (and Ron) on your team will make every player better. That's the type of players that they are. With that Said, McDuffie is a very talented player on his own. He's definitely in the conversation for Freshmen of the year.

For those of you mentioning that he has no votes in this poll. That's completely on Shamet haha. Shamet was the star of WSU's freshmen class, he was since day one. Its unfortunate that he hasn't been able to show it this year yet. If people knew he was going to be out when the vote was taken, I bet 4 or 5 of his 8 votes went to McDuffie, even though McDuffie looked extremely raw at the beginning of the year and might even have been a redshirt candidate.

Yes agreed on all of your points about FVV, and Baker for that matter. Only reason I said anything was because his statement was a bold "...playing with the best PG in the country." That was a statement that he IS the best pg.

Carry on.

I'd personally take Paris Lee over FVV.

Yes his 3 assists to 5 turnovers last game vs 0-9 Drake shows Paris Lee is the best

Fred VanVleet IS the best PG in the country. And it is not a debate.

Ronnie Suggs at Bradley has been really solid of late. He's averaging 10.3 ppg in league games.

But over the last five he is at 13.2 ppg, 4.8 rpg, shooting 44% from the floor, 44% from three and 75% from the line and playing 35 minutes a night.

This is a subjective topic and thus open for a debate. I am not the one to debate it, because I don't care.

The only subject people might want to debate on the matter, is just how large the gap is between Fred VanVleet and the next best PG in the country. Anything else would be a waste of time.

Here is the comparison for McDuffie in League games

9.3 ppg, 3.88 rpg, 1.1 apg, .4 spg, 55% from the floor, 28.5% from 3, 77% from the line.

So similar numbers, except for 3 pt%. The big difference is McDuffie is only getting 18 mpg. So about half the time.
