Bulldogs with a very easy win over Simpson, as expected. By 8 minutes into the game, Drake had already played 11 guys, and were up 40+ with 15 minutes to go. No starter played more than 20 minutes, no player more than 22. First "real" game of the season on Monday @ Tulane.

Timmer 19 points
Abrahamson 13 points
Schlatter 13 points, 6 rebounds
Wampler 10 points
Rivers 9 points, 6 assists
Olejniczak 8 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks

Isn't this Drake's annual game whether we ask if it Homer or Marge?

It is the second year in a row Drake has played Simpson....a d3 school about 15-20 miles south of here.

Shamet had one basket where he caught the ball in mid-air on one side of the basket and put it in off the glass behind him on the other side of the basket. I'm guessing there will be clips of that shot. Possibly on Sports Center. Shamet could have more Sports Center clips than Cotton had.

Isur down 3 at half 37-34, DAP didn't play after picking up his 2nd foul probably about 8 minutes in. I like the way this team looks so far. Reggie would've fouled out twice over by now, 31 fouls and 40 free throws in the half

Watching IlST now and wondering what they are running for an offense. It looks like passing the ball for 20 seconds and then taking whatever shot is available when the shot clock runs down. DAP has some moves, but other than him, I'm not seeing much other than hitting a jumper from time to time. SDSU isn't doing much better.

Birds making a serious run - down only 3 now.

Well, that was short-lived. McIntosh is showing nothing.

Redbirds actually had a pretty good road game against what looks like a pretty good team.
