Games Nov 16 and 17

Arizona overmatched the third youngest team in college basketball (how is Marquette and the Citadel younger?) winning in Tempe 90-60. Ronnie Suggs lead the charge with 17. The more athletic Wildcats dominated the boards and a large foul disparity.

Since I'm a glass half full kinda guy I'll focus on some positives. Last year we lost 3-4 games just like this one but hey we won this one! Although he's not putting the ball in the hoop like he's capable of Paris Lee has 14 assists to 2 turnovers and 5 steals in 2 games. David Ndiaye gave the team a huge boost with a putback and a couple of blocks which was encouraging. Deontae played a real good game and obviously DAP gave us the game winner and other key baskets.

For my negatives tho, Our rebounding and free throw shooting has to be much improved and fast. Too many careless turnovers on fast breaks as well. On to the next one

I really love the 24 hours of hoops on ESPN. Watching UNI beat up on SFA while having breakfast is phenomenal.

Bulldogs are very slow, and are weak. Terrible ball handling last night (Timmer and Woodward combined for 11 turnovers, 21 for the team). Terrible shot selection at key times in the game. Woodward's inability to hit free throws will cost Drake some games this season. It will be a lot of fun to watch Dominik Olejniczak's development. I'll be real surprised if he's not starting ahead of Enevold real soon.

Solid win by UNI. Built a halftime lead, withstood a comeback from a veteran SFA team that should be a tourney team by March to win by 10.

15 from Jesperson and Bohannon, 14 from Washpun and Morgan.

Still plenty to work on but a definite improvement from Saturday.
