I do think some of the newcomers are better but it's more a case of every player gets worse each year under Lusk. Kirk was a nice prospect as a Frosh but ended up almost unserviceable by his Sr year. Ruder was feared as a Frosh and has become less feared each year since. Kendrix looked like a future star as a Frosh and looks lost as a Soph. Add in the Marshall and Thurman debacles and it's more than a trend. We all love Obediah Church and Jordan Martin in the post and Kendrix and Ruder on the wings but Lusk has no clue at Xs and Os. If we can dump Lusk and keep the players we should have a dramatic turnaround next year. As is, we may not win 5 games this year.

Big game for UE today and a huge opportunity for UNI. Good luck to the MVC today.

Pretty awesome end to the half for UE, leading 45-35 at the break following a DJ 3 at the buzzer.

UNI down 11-8 with 13+ to go in the half. Good defense, poor shooting so far.

Church should definitely be starting over Boone. Not much to get excited about in regards to the Bears except this kid. He's a stud freshman. I think Valley fans will be surprised at how good he is ( I was ).

But as bleach alluded to player development is a huge issue.

Aces played better once Simmons picked up his 2nd foul and hit the bench. Blake's a good kid but no way should he get minutes over Brzoja, Harris Brown or Gipson when he returns. Even Benzon deserves the same or more minutes as Blake.

UNI playing #1 UNC is Cedar Falls and not a single post on it? Wow. Panthers trail 41-32 at half.

Wes washpun is an animal! He along with timely second half shooting and some favorable whistles along the way have this one right with 10:00 minutes left. Let's go cats!
