Finish the regular season 13-2 and win two in St Louis. If we can get the NMSU game back on the schedule we might be afforded an extra loss.

No chance

I fully admit it is damn near impossible to even imagine, but we could beat Wichita State twice and finish the regular season with more than 25 victories. That would be a pretty awesome resume.

If you beat wichita twice then that means you added 2 good wins but 3-4 more bad losses added on. There's really no margin for error for SIU.

WSU may get a pass for losing 3 games when VanVleet was out. Going 16-2 in the league and getting to the finals in St. Louis might be enough. 14-4 in the 14th ranked league isn't going toimpress anyone on the committee.

Shoc are going to have to hope to get a lot of mileage out of win over Utah. A W over Evansville is oign to count about the same as a win over - oh, say Northern Illinois. The Aces SoS of 257 makes a W over them meaningless, regardless of their W/L record.

UNI has crapped in their mess kit, so a win over them isn't going to count for anything.

If WSU should get an at large, expect something like an 11 seed. Actually, an 11 would be better than an 8 or a 9.

If SIU beat WSU twice, then a W over WSU would no longer be a quality win.

That's probably the case this year.

The Aces, Salukis, and Shockers can all finish 16-2 and get an at-large. UNI can probably go 15-3 and get one. No one else has a chance.

That sounds about right historically, but things won't start shaping up until Feb. 1. It even depends on the MVC though. It still would be a coin flip. I would hate to be a team that lost on Friday to Drake or Bradley and have to wait 9 days for selection Sunday.

What the hell is your definition of "awesome resume"?

Good Lord, it's gonna start reverting back to Pre-Lowery ValleyTalk in here, isn't it?

That would leave SIU with a RPI of 79. You can't play a 232 SOS and think you are going to be in the discussion for at-large.
