Another quote from the article:

It’s a sweet situation for the Panthers, who have been overshadowed by the Shockers for much of the past five seasons.

“They deserved that,” Washpun said of the attention given to Wichita State. “They put in the time and they’re a very talented basketball team. “It’s hard to get recognition as a mid-major, but we do our darnedest to try and let people know we’re a pretty good basketball team as well.”

Man, you're uptight.

Do you buy into the Casey's General Store conspiracy as well?

Read WSU's Shockernet board....everyone is uptight and placing blame on anybody but their own players/coaches for sucking every year in Arch Madness.

King FVV - the almighty had a terrible Arch Madness....but that has to stay on the hush hush.

The dominant WSU team fell once again. They must defend their kingdom.

Not sure where else to mention this, but with tonight's game....

11 - #1 seeds have lost their conference tournaments so far!!

That's 11 teams guaranteed a spot in the NIT (if they don't make the NCAAs). I would say Evansville is squarely on the bubble of the NIT at this point too.

Logue isn't really our beat writer, simply the only pro-UNI guy for the Des Moines Register (which has done a consistently pathetic job of covering UNI recently). Not sure how many beat writers work 2 hrs away from campus. I don't even think he was at Arch Madness, the Register used a story from an SIU student reporter for one of the games summaries.

That is correct...the Register didn't send anybody to Arch Madness, and had Logue covering both Drake and UNI throughout the season.

Man, do you think the NCAA selection committee overloaded a bit on the overrated Pac 12? OUCH!

9 of the 14 teams from the Big 12 and Pac 12 lost in the first round with a 10th team losing in the 2nd round. Only KU, OU, Oregon and Iowa State really proved they belong. Most of them had very winnable first round games.
