I think they might be the 8/9 in OKC va OU. What a game that would be

I don't see WSU ending up in OKC.

**EDIT - I guess the NCAA only uses the "protected" seed idea for the first round. They don't project winners of games into the second round. I originally thought putting WSU in OKC would violate that rule. Turns out, I misunderstood. So OKC isn't out of the question for them.

Jerry Palm says:

WICHITA STATE: vs. Illinois State (2 p.m. ET, ESPN2)

Status: Work to do
Record: 22-7, 15-2 MVC | RPI: 41 | Strength of schedule: 100
Wichita State doesn't have much of an at-large case, but if they want to keep their slim hopes alive, the Shockers cannot afford to get swept by the Redbirds. Wichita State has already clinched the regular season conference title and the top seed in Arch Madness.

NCAA wants to make money. This would be a terrific matchup. Although with OU's athletic director as the head of the selection committee you never know if it will happen.

Kind of thinking out loud on this post.

Palm went on record saying that he ignores all the analytical ranking services because "They cloud his judgment". The NCAA has shown they use those in the mock selection. You can safely ignore Palm.

Kansas would be the 1 seed in the midwest right now and OU would most likely go west.

But they'll stay close the first weekend.

Good point, I just see WSU in the Midwest bracket. They don't seem to move teams around the country like they use to. I liked seeing teams spread around the country.

Kansas may prefer being sent to Des Moines over OKC.

I believe Palm also had us barely in last season as a 12. He's an idiot.
