Interesting. Emmenecker and Timmer both good players, but I don't think there are many similarities in their game. Emmenecker much more of a passer, Timmer much more of a scorer.

Bulldog fans growing increasingly frustrated with Giacoletti and his usage of personnel. Every Drake fan I've talked to thinks the major problem is the two Big 10 transfers, but Giacoletti still gives them 30-35 minutes per game. I suppose after he spent all of last season telling us (Drake fans) how great those two were, he won't admit his mistake.

I agree. Emmenecker and Timmer are quite different.

I like Timmer a lot. He has skill plus he ain't afraid of nuttin'.

But has he learned to dribble with his right hand yet?

That skill doesn't become necessary until you become an upperclassman, and sometimes not even then.

The Panthers 10-11 record might indicate that it is more of a necessity than you let on :)

In fact, it might be worth pointing out that the two Valley teams with a starting guard that can only dribble with one hand are a combined 1-14 against the rest of the league.

Because Washpun and Timmer are clearly the main problems with their respective teams. It has nothing to do with the lack of a solid inside presence for either team.

Hey man, I'm just pointing out what I see. You can decide coincidence, correlation, or causation.

Fair enough, it's not like you're wrong. Hard to argue against 1-14 with the one win being against Bradley.

Are Wasphun and Timmer worse than other guards dribbling with their "off hand" or is it easier to notice because they are lefthanded to begin with?

Washpun and Timmer are both good players but after watching UNI and Drake against ISUr that past two games my observation would be that there is a serious lack of talent on both of their rosters.

They are worse. They are the Zoolander's of college basketball. They aren't ambi-dribblers/drivers.
