That's a great way to pick a team.

That team MIGHT be able to stay within 15 of WSU

I took the top 5 scorers in the MVC at the time. As Norman Dale would say "My teams on the floor".

Brown = Devonte Brown

Ah, I see. Interesting take. I suppose if I was picking 5 players to actually win an MVC game, I would go with whichever 5 players Gregg Marshall had started in the previous game, and I'd probably take them by 10+. That's been working out pretty well against all comers. 44-1.

An all WSU starting 5 would be fun to watch vs an all rest of the valley starting 5. I'd think the valley 5 would win 7/10 though.

If I'm trying to pick just an ultimate starting 5 though I'll go with.
5.Mock
4.O' Brien (homer pick, 12th in scoring, 6th in rebounding, can handle the ball, and has a high basketball IQ)
3.Baker
2.Balentine
1.Van Vleet

I think WSU rotation vs 10 best off the other teams would be edge WSU though. Hard to compare 5 vs 5.

Not saying he would be a top 2 at the 4/5 but Deontae Hawkins is having a real solid conference season (minus the 2 missed free throws today :? ) for the Birds so he would be a player that could be right up there at power forward spot

There is a definite talent-hole across the league at that position this year. He is up there.

I'd fill McIntosh before Hawkins at the stretch 4.

Mock
McIntosh
Brown
Beane
Ballentine

Those 5 would edge WSU...but just the fact that it's an argument shows the Shox dominance in this conference

I think you're right. I think WSU sweeps that team.

That would be a good match-up vs WSU. I wish we could see that.

At least 1 of those 5 would have to learn how to play defense. Also, too many chuckers for one lineup.
