Elgin doesn't hate Marshall. Elgrin hates WSU.

And apparently Evansville too - how can he be on the NIT selection committee and not lobby for a UE invite?

+1

If that was any showcase of his lobbying "skills", they need some serious work, and they certainly don't give any warm and fuzzy feelings about his leadership of this conference.

Why does anyone believe that the Aces deserved an invite? They have only Marty and whoever else is involved with scheduling to blame. I'm no Elgin backer by any means, but I don't get the complaining about UE not in the NIT.

Wouldn't Elgin be required to recuse himself from the discussion when a Valley team came up anyway? If so, he wouldn't be able to lobby for anyone from the Valley.

Goodman all over Twitter tonight suggesting Marshall to Memphis. I can't imagine that job in an unstable league would interest him when he's turned down better.

Underestimating the FedEx money. And I'm not saying he is or isn't interested, but it's a better job than you are giving credit. Superior job to Wichita.

Not really uniftw....best job in it's league by far with Memphis being superior to all other teams (similar to WSU right now). Great facilities, huge fan base, and a recruiting hot bed. Money would have to talk for him to leave, but Calipari made them a regular contender nationally and so can Marshall.
