VanVleet got a multi-year contract with the Raptors.

http://www.nba.com/raptors/press-releases/vanvleet-071816

Just speculation on my part, but due to the fact that the Raptors already have 3 PG's on their roster, I'm guessing Fred will be one of the 2 players on their 15-person roster who plays in the Developmental League.

In Fred's last Summer League game, the only person the T'Wolves had on their team who could slow Fred down was Toure Murry.

Edit: While this comes from the Raptors NBA website and it is a current article after the Summer League ended, it might be a late article on the previously-announced "partially guaranteed" deal.

Good for Adam - very nice young man and has a great attitude glad he is making his dream come true.

False alarm on VanV;eet's deal. The press release was about the fact he actually signed the contract that was reported earlier and that he was working under in the Summer League.

the "guaranteed" portion of the contract is $50,000 and an invite to the Raptors training camp.

So, there's no actually anything new with the Raptors' July 18 press release. Just that now there's ink on the contract.

What's Ron Baker's situation?

Partially guaranteed 1 year contract with the Knicks. Basically he has an invite to camp and we'll see if he can stick on the 15 man roster - the amount of the guarantee has not be published to my knowledge.

Ron's odds of making the roster out of camp are pretty decent. Fred has a slightly steeper hill to climb IMO. Hopefully those two plus Mockevicius (I believe those are the only three with partially guaranteed contracts and camp invites locked in?) can find a spot in the league this fall, that would be a lot of fun.

Looks like Fred's chances of makng the 15 man roster are the best at the moment, judging only from pre-training camp situation, i.e. Wright out til December with injury leaving Fred to be most likely 3rd point.
I'd say Ron will have to beat out a couple of other shooting guards to make the 15 for the Knicks at season's start, (Tokoto, and I am blanking on the name of the other one), but I think he has a real chance at least. He would be the most likely of the three to be able to pull off being a combo guard and I think that should help his chances, especially if he able to show he can flow within the Triangle offense.
I'd like to hear anything else if known or speculative on Mock's situation and chances at this point. His summer league performance seemed to be solid enough for at least a real look at camp.
I am mostly in the dark about what Early, Cotton, and Murray opportunities amount to at this time, though would guess Early at least gets a camp invite if he hasn't already.
Any other post-MVC players with NBA opportunity still open?

Baker is officially on the 15 man roster for the Knicks. They cut a guaranteed contract (and ate 100k) to keep him. Congrats Ron!

That is awesome. The bad news is I'll have to watch some Knicks games next year which is my least favorite NBA franchise. What a horribly mismanaged organization. At least they had sense enough to keep Baker.
