I'm stunned to see Wichita state in any top 25. The shockers didn't finish last season in the top 25 and lost their two best players. No way.
That is about as uneducated a post as one could make.
Polls in May/June for the next season are an absolute joke anyways. You should pay no attention to its value, then, and it's value in early November.

Predictions can be way off for how a season projects. So, WSU fans can gloat/care about them now when one picks them in the top 25....the rest of us should really care less.

All you need to know is WSU is still the favorites to win the MVC.
Top 25 polls bring name and recognition to the school/conference. WSU has a lot of cashe built up and have backed up with their consistent results. Don't mock something that actually tries to validate something in this conference.

I imagine redbirdfan would be in full on hard-on mode if Illinois State made a Top 25 in anything ever.

Early Polls have their worth if you keep their context in mind. They are a snapshot of returning talent and expectations and usually have a lot more read watch done than the actuall preaseason poll that come out in November. They give u some ideas of what the keys to look for each of these terms on whether they will exceed or fail their preseason expectations.

WSU actually has some pretty good talent coming back next year - the main question is do they have a PG replacement for Fred? If they do, they will do well and will meet or exceed expectations with the talent on the team. If they don't, then it will be a down year for WSU.
