Nice reply ACE CARD - I read your original comment as simply saying these summer games are questionable and not as smack. You also had a kind comment about MSU factoring into the MVC this season. Some of these posters on here just are looking to put others down.

We can't even beat our NAIA/D2 exhibition opponents by that much so only God knows how bad these teams are...

Yeah, it's really tough to tell on a lot of these trips if the opponents are what amount to American high school teams, or a bunch of 28-year old semi-pros playing with refs not interested in their countries team losing. And sometimes it's both on the same trip.

Some of the teams Creighton played against last year would have struggled to win any games in the Wichita City League.

And now we know...

High schoolers or recent graduates. Great.

You are so right 80. They are just like a train wreck. They are horrible to look at, but you just can't take your eyes off them to see just how low they can go.

The only value to these games is extra practice time. It really helps with the new team members.

Yep. It's an opportunity to run your offense and defense against someone that doesn't know what you are doing every step of the way.

No conclusions can be made at all based on this trip. But based on early observations I do think the Bears can at least compete for the valley championship based on player talent. But is our coaching at that level? Unfortunately due to our weak ass OOC schedule we won't know the answer to that until we play some of the stronger Valley teams.
