I went SIU here. I could have gone with LUC or ISUb here, but I think this is the year that the wheels fall off for Barry.

It looks like a toss up between several times at this point, but I went with LU here as they have more new parts to work into the mix and SIU has more experience, and a unit that has played together for several years. While they lost Beane and Bola, I think Beane tended to stunt the production of other team mates a bit, and Bol just might be able to replace a good portion of Bola's output. But if they hadn't lost Bola, they certainly would be more competitive.
I'm guessing it might take Custer much of this season to be able to run Loyola consistently, and I'm more doubtful of LU's frontline.
Team chemistry may be the biggest determinant between the finishing order of these two clubs and maybe ISUb and MSU. If that is true, then I'd have to favor the more experienced team that has the most players having played together longer.

Why do people waste votes in these things with their hatred towards a specific team? WSU, ISUr, UNI should not be receiving any votes for 7th place....yet 5 of the 25 total votes thus far have gone that route (20% of all voters are delusional).

I voted Loyola. Too many new pieces with an in-game coach who can't make good adjustments when things aren't going his way. Although by season's end, LU could be a problem child for higher seeds at Arch Madness.

I went Southern, Beane's got big shoes to fill and I don't see any one player who can step up and take over games for them when in need. Though i like Rodriguez and think he'll have a good season for the Salukis.

I voted for LOC in this spot though it would be nice to see all their potential fit together and for them to increase fan support.

Pretty much the way I felt. It seems like Southern just lost too much to get out of Thursday this year, although sometimes Barry gets more out of his players than you would think.

Loyola because Barry Hinson will get more out of his guys than Porter Moser.
