We will find out a lot faster than that. Jacksonville St visits tomorrow after beating Tulsa last night in Tulsa. Harper knows how to coach and bring in talent after being at WKU (not sure why he left WKU for Jacksonville St)

Visits to DePaul and from NDSU in late November will be good tests.

But I agree, the gem part of the schedule is the tourney in Vegas at Christmas time.

I will be the first to admit that I don't like Lusk as a coach and still don't have faith in him. With that said, not once did I ever believe we would score 96 points and beat a D1 team by 34 while under his leadership. They looked pretty dang impressive last night, even with keeping in mind the opponent.

It's hard to ask a team to win by more than 30 points to prove they are good. Really can't ask for anymore. Excited to see how they fair against JSU.

On a side note, the Tulsa team that JSU beat was lead by former Shocker Corey Henderson as he scored 15 in the loss.

Yes, essentially another exhibition. Only really good thing coming out of it is the playing time for youngsters-Morgan/Koch/Carlson/Lohaus only played 6 minutes in the 2nd half, all less than 20 for the game. Defensive communication was solid, offense looked smooth BUT it was against a severely overmatched D-III team.

74-37 final. Koch and Morgan with 11 each, Freshman Isaiah Brown with 10. Koch led with 5 rebounds, Morgan with 4 steals, Carlson and Iowa State transfer Jordan Ashton with 3 assists each.

Should know more about Bradley after today. It is a game they should win if they are going to be a .500 team. Not sure if they can though. Rebounding will be the key to the game

4:00 vs Deleware

Just 2 games but wow, what a 2 games its been. 90+ points in both. 25+ scoring margin in both.

Bears finish with a 91-65 win over Jacksonville St

Johnson with 20 pts (3-5 3p), 10 boards
Miller with 20 pts (4-7 3p), 4 assists
Church with 10 pts, 6 boards
Dixon with 19 pts in just 21 minutes
Ruder with 12 points on 4-8 shooting from 3.
Rousseau with 6 points and 7 assists

Bears with 30 pts off turnovers, 32 bench points, and shot 15-31 from 3

#12 and #31 on JSU were a menace inside for the Gamecocks. Bears need to learn how to defend down low. They aren't going to shoot 50% from 3 every game.

Just curious, but it appears only 7 players got any meaningful minutes in a blowout game. Are there players out, it will 7 players be the standard rotation for MSU.

McCullough is still hurt. Kendrix and Martin returned from suspension today, hence why they played so little. Kendrix will obviously play a big role if he can stay out of trouble. Martin will have to stay healthy to help with inside defense.

I would anticipate a nice rotation of 8-9 guys throughout most games, yes

The interior defense is the only negative I've seen for the Bears thus far. It might be because the guards are really getting into the passing lanes and opening up the paint if they overcommit.
