Calhoun was dynamite and Wilkins was suffocating the ACC POY, so Sturtz was the odd man with those two playing so well.

Awful. See what’s happening and adjust.

You won’t win many games when your opponent shoots 21 more FTs than you. Drake beat their ass in nearly every category but that one. Ridiculous discrepancy for an NCAA Tournament game smh.

Some truth in this . You look for your stars to carry you down the stretch and tonight it didn't happen.
Great game but nothing to show for it.

The consolation prize was watching Purdue fall to FD. :bounce:

It was hard to watch the final 4 minutes of this one. Drake had it won and then slowly gave it away. Reminded me some of the UNI meltdown against A&M some years ago, although that was a more dramatic collapse.

Doesn't change the fact that the Bulldogs had a great year and should be proud of their season.

He had food poisoning last night. Tried to get him ready, but he couldn't really go

I thought it was mostly Penn on the ACC POY and Wikins on Pack, who had a real nice night offensively.

Complete meltdown by Drake.

Took the air out of the ball way too early when they had all the momentum. Obviously didn't handle the pressure well.

FT discrepancy was ??????

The UUUUUUUUUU!!!

Let’s go Miami!

Really think DeVries is an excellent coach but Coach L took him to school down the stretch. Close game on 16-1 run without a timeout, when your best players played their worst games of the season.

Survive and advance, Miami, but the Valley rep really availed themselves well.

TylerDurden wrote:Interesting matchup. Just glanced at Miami's schedule and noticed that they played a lot of close games.

Of their 25 wins, Miami won seven games by four or fewer points and lost four games by the same margin.

They played 21 games where the difference was 10 points or less and had an overall scoring margin of +7.3. To Miami's credit, they won most of the close games, but if you drop out their nonconference cup cake games against Lafayette (+13), UNCG (+14), Florida A&M (+26), St. Francis Brooklyn (+23) and St. Francis PA (+15) - it's basically an even point spread.

I think Drake has a shot here.

Plus Jim Larranaga is a class-A prick, so dumping his ass in the first round wouldn't bring a tear to my eye.

This played out. Close game, Miami found a way to win. It's the story of their season.

Good season Drake.

Here's to next season being a multi-bid league!
