Ray Harper is a good basketball coach. His teams tend to outrebound their opponents. 21 offensive boards is concerning, but it's early and the silver lining is that those second chances didn't turn into enough points to switch the result.

Bears beat a dreadful Westminster team 100-51; it was 59-17 at half. No starter played more than 10 minutes ; starters were 6'0 Matthew Lee, 6'2 Alston Mason, 6'6 Chance Moore, 6'8 Donovan Clay, 6'8 NJ Bensen. Bears were led by 6'8 freshman Tyler Bey who had 19 pts, 8 rbs, 4 stls, and Xavier transfer 6'9 Cesare Edwards with 17 pts. Things get real on Monday as Bears travel to West Virginia . Bears a little short handed in backcourt as both freshman Davion Hill and SLU transfer Nick Kramer are nursing injury.

UNI beat Coe (DIII) in an exhibition Wednesday night, 103-65.

Not a whole lot to learn from a game that was 63-27 at halftime.

14 guys played, 12 scored.

Tytan Anderson 17 pts 10 rebs
Jacob Hutson 14 pts 9 rebs
Bowen Born 14 pts
Trey Campbell 14 pts
Landon Wolf 13 pts

Freshman Wes Rubin sat out as a precaution due to an ankle injury last week but wasn't in a boot or anything.

It gets real Tuesday night at North Texas.
