What a wild ride for Bradley. It's like the teams switched jerseys at the half, as UAB came out of the half a completely different team. Bradley completely lost a 16 point halftime lead in 10 minutes, and actually got down 11 points with 6 minutes left. Duke Deen drew a foul on a 3 pointer, and made all 3 free throws. Then Bradley forced a turnover with a press that led to a Connor Hickman 3, and all of a sudden it was a 5 point game again, and Bradley was back in it.

Once Bradley quick turning the ball over and giving up easy transition baskets, it became much harder for UAB to score. Malevy was great on both ends all night. Duke hit multiple big shots. Darius Hannah looked really good as well, including making a beautiful running floater/lay-in off a screen and roll with 2.8 seconds left that was the game winner.

Bradley will need another guard to get up to speed to challenge for the Valley title, but they should solidly be in the top 4 again this year barring injuries. We are very thin at Guard right now, especially since the transfer from Nevada, Pettigrew, is no longer with the team.

Won games that we needed to win as a league last night.

Great job!

Let's get it rolling!

Sure it is going to be a little bit of a rebuilding year at UAB, but it should not be too big of one, and is still a program that trails only Houston, Gonzaga, Kansas and UCLA in wins over the last 3 seasons. Winning there is big, no matter how you slice it.

41-6 at home under Andy Kennedy before last night. That win was a big one for Bradley.

Yes that was a gutsy opener for Wardle, and one many of us probably had penciled in as an L given BU's troubles in early non-con roadies in recent years. To my discredit, I thought UAB would win pretty handily. Glad I was wrong.

UNI loses to North Texas. To be fair, North Texas is a good program. But if UNI is the best or second best team in our conference, you need to win that game. Ugh. We need to do better as a league. Not just UNI, but all of us.

Opening two days... four games on the road. Two went to overtime with Bradley the only team to pull out the W. Congrats to the Braves. Belmont, ISUb and ISUr with a chance to pick up a road W this weekend.

Not a bad first 2 nights. The good news is we didn't lose any games that should be wins. The bad news is Bradley was probably the only team to win a game that was "unexpected".

Need to keep winning the games we should and avoid "bad" losses. Also we need to pick up a few road wins that aren't expected.

I think we need to win at a minimum 4 of these games over the weekend. I picked these games as ones that could go either way, or we aren't favored. Going 5-2 on this slate would be ideal:

Friday, Nov 10
Belmont @ Furman 6:00 PM ESPN+
Indiana St @ #24 Alabama 7:00 PM ESPN+/SECN+
Murray St Vs Tennessee Tech 7:00 Pm ESPN+
UIC Vs Little Rock ESPN+ 7:30 PM
Valparaiso Vs IUPUI ESPN+ 8:00 PM

Saturday, Nov 11
Bradley Vs Utah St 7:00 Pm ESPN+
Illinois State @ Saint Louis 7:00 PM ESPN+
