For Evansville, winning games is what matters. It doesn't matter how good Ball State is or SEMO, or Miami (OH), or Chattanooga, or BYU, or Tennessee Tech, or Cincinnati, or UT Martin, or Bellarmine. The just need to win games.
It's probably better if all of those teams suck and Evansville wins. The Aces won five games last year, if they can better that total during this year's nonconference, it's a victory for everyone.
Based off of their schedule so far, you can't read much into it, but that's ok. They should schedule nonconference games they can win. They don't need to be a top-five MVC team, they just need to avoid being an overall 300+ NET team.
