Looks like tonight's MSU/ISU game will be on the Bally Sports channels, but not NBC Sports Chicago.

ISU wins big (by 22). MSU did pretty good stopping Swope, but Avila and Conwell gave the Sycs plenty of scoring.

Interesting that only 6 guys played 5+ minutes for the Schertz.

As a bonus, I had something else to watch while Indiana was getting dismantled by Purdue.

Missouri State just isn't very good at the moment.

They've been absolutely drilled by Drake, Murray, Bradley and Indiana State. Their two league wins have both come against Evansville.

The Bears are talented but extremely easy to scout and prepare for. And not good at preparing to play others. That's a problem. The UNI loss broke this team. They were never going to win the league or anything. But against Bradley and Murray it's as if they didnt have the will to play. They did well enough against the Aces. and did play hard tonight. Unfortunately for the Bears, Schertz just took Dana Ford to school.

Most Bear fans have moved into the "Dana watch " phase. Been thru a number of those including Hinson and Lusk , and it just makes for a miserable last half a season. So much up in the air with a new prez coming after the spring semester completes, but there really isn't an option that will work other than a coaching change . Among Bear fans the two names that will garner most early support will be K St assistant Rod Perry , a Bear alum and former head coach at Link Prep, and Ben McCollum , who's well known of this board.

Bears could be that dangerous spoiler the rest of the year and in STL, but maybe won't even muster that much of a threat given some recent games . I gave Ford every chance and defended him when he was being somewhat successful despite the obvious deficiencies , hoping we'd see growth, but he is what he is. I know that drive to be a HC is strong , but he's a guy who could make a good living on a P-5 staff as a recruiter. He comes across as arrogant , but he and his wife have been solid in our community. He's still relatively young, articulate, has a proven track record as a recruiter , but 10+ years as a HC [ MSU/Tenn St] and no championships is telling.

Can a 19-1 Indiana State and a 17-3 Drake both make the NCAA Tournament?
