Sometimes it just comes down to luck. This year has been incredibly unlucky for bubble teams.

Some bracketologists are saying this is now the strongest bubble since 2006 and the First Four Out this year are stronger than the Last Four In in almost any other year. Lunardi says in 25+ years he’s never seen this many legitimately qualified teams pushed out.

The committee has an impossible task because there are 4-6 more deserving teams than spots available.

If there’s a bet out there for NCAA Tournament expansion by next year, you can bank hard on that wager.

Northwestern should NOT get in. They played a worse Non Con than Indiana State.

Northwestern has wins over Dayton, Purdue, Nebraska and Illinois and finished t3 in the Big Ten. They definitely have warts, but they have wins to point to.

They're the perfect example of a conference giving a team a chance for wins.

If isub gets in it'll be me because they want to play up that Larry Nerd and mexican story line. And, I'm here for every bit of it. Upstart coach, robbie, great all around team. For that reason I think they'll sneak in. Remember it's also about entertainment and money. Not just the best teams but the best stories.

I watched while Chicago St beat them Dec 13th and it might have been the most fun I had all season.

At 4:59 right before the Selection Show, both the CBS studio host and Wally Szczerbiak picked Drake as this year’s Cinderella before signing off.

I’m cautiously optimistic after seeing the first region revealed. Drake higher than expected with a 10-seed and FAU higher than expected with an 8-seed. More respect than what was thought for an MVC school and a fellow mid-major.

Fingers crossed.
