Northwestern in as a No. 9 seed.

They've got the right uniform patch.

What’s the point of the NET if you keep out 29 in favor of 54? Crazy.

Selection show is over. There ended up being 5 bid thieves behind the at-large cut line:
New Mexico
Oregon
NC State
Duquesne
UAB

Indiana St was 3rd team out. If there were only 2 bid thieves (the per year average is between 1-2) instead of 5, Indiana St was in.

The committee gave a 54 NET with 2-7 Q1 record a bid over a 29 NET with a 1-4 Q1 record.

SWAC Commissioner/Committee Chair Charles McLelland confirms there were 5 bid thieves (names New Mexico as one).

McLelland confirms Indiana State was originally in, but due to the volume of bid thieves they were scrubbed out late last night. He says they had to split hairs after the bid thieves, and Indiana St was removed due to non-conference SOS.

Oklahoma, Seton Hall, & Indiana St were all in entering yesterday. When Oregon, NC State, & New Mexico stole bids last night, those 3 were scrubbed.

This makes sense. Unlucky.

Yep. It wasn’t ISU’s fault (29 NET), the MVC’s fault (#9 NET), or the committee’s fault (5 bid thieves when the average is under 2).

It was just a perfect storm of horrible luck - and OU/SHU/Indiana St were last night’s victims.

MVC now holds the record for highest RPI (2006 Missouri St) and highest NET (2024 Indiana St) to miss the Tournament.
