He's going to have a case, for sure. To me, he's a no-brainer all-conference pick. The only question is which team.

He's having a hell of a year and deserves the accolades that come his way.

He was a DNP-CD in the MVC tournament last season. Major kudos to him for accepting a totally different role and then kicking ass in that role.

Everyone talking about Julian Larry for DPOY should note he just held Alston Mason to 26.

Leons is the only player in DI with 80 blocks and 80 steals over the last 2 seasons.

2nd best ORtg in the league (but in a virtual tie for the top spot)

It would be something if a guy that was literally one of the 2-3 best on both ends of the floor was anything less than a consensus first team guy.

Scottie Ebube should get consideration for 6th man. SIU has won every game in which he has scored more than 10 points. His presence in the paint is a disruptive force for other teams.

Other than Xavier Johnson, SIU isn't going to place anyone on the regular All-Valley teams, and I don't know that Kennard Davis has scored enough throughout the year to make all-freshman team (though I certainly wouldn't take five freshmen over him going forward), but the Salukis definitely have their share of legit candidates for an all-improved team.

Johnson is a lock for most improved player in the league, and almost SIU's entire rotation (especially guys like Brown, Ferguson, D'Amico and Ebube) have significantly ramped up their production to get SIU into the upper half of the league after losing Domask and Jones. SIU's portal class from last spring has underwhelmed to put it politely, so credit to the returnees (especially X, needless to say) for bringing more to the table and keeping the season on track.

I'm going with Bledson of INSU.

May have to change FOY to Johnny Kinziger.
