Taking my 6 y/o son to his first ever basketball game tomorrow - UIC v Belmont
Not expecting a UIC win but hope something competitive at least!

Happy for you and your son. That’s a great memory - take some pictures/videos and save them externally so he can see them 10-20+ years from now.

Indiana State looks completely gassed. Avila wasn't in great shape to begin the season, so he must be hurting at this stage.

Swope is completely spent. He is not nearly the same without the fresh legs that he relies on to get the great lift on his 3 and his first step, or on defense.

Their starting 5 average over 30 minutes/game; only 2 other players have double-digit minutes/game.

The Missouri Valley is a grind. You better be deep or you will stumble near the finish line.

The question is can they recover to make a run in the MVC tourney.

Agreed on Avila. He's got to fix that body. Dude needs to live with the S&C staff and get himself a nutritionist.

Agree that conference play is a grind and injuries play a big part in how the season unfolds. I believe if(I know candy and nuts) Kent is in the lineup they beat S. Illinois. I still pick them in the conference championship game against Drake and I predict Drake will beat them for back-to-back conference tourney champs.

This makes 3 of the last 4 games Bradley has come out flat. They were unable to come back and win the previous two and find themselves down 19 on the road to UNI.

This one is over. Bradley is like Indiana State. Totally gassed. And UNI was really ready to play and kicked ass from the jump. Good for the Panthers.

The only thing that matters at this point is winning Arch Madness. Get rested and healthy and take your shot.

True, but the Thursday bye is still huge.

Yes...that is true for every team in the Valley, but it would certainly be much easier from a top 4 spot as opposed to a 6-8 spot.
