Somebody has to be better than Drake next year, this is embarrassing.

That was a replay of last year’s Miami game. Night game. Drake was up 8 in the final minutes. Sardaar Calhoun/Atin Wright put on a show. Brodie had stretches of dominance. And Tucker, for whatever reason, just didn’t put it together.

Drake really showed the committee they made a mistake leaving two Valley schools out. Only a 2 hour drive, Iowa State fans on your side, and heard the announcer say Tucker had put up more shots in that arena than Knapp. Seems like they let the moment get too big and forgot to just play basketball.

Consecutive tournaments where Tucker wilted in the Big moment...

Tucker’s 3 point attempt with 21 seconds on the shot clock, 6:33 left in the game and Drake up 8 was the start of the downfall. Instead of working for a good shot and extending the lead to 10, Brodie gets his fourth foul going after the rebound (which led to his fouling out with 2:26 left in the game). Washington State outscored Drake 20-7 in that last 6:33

Our conference must look super weak to the rest of the country watching an MVC team for the first time this year. When the back to back PoY becomes a liability in crunch time.

If Tucker has just an average game, Drake wins both years.

I wonder why Darian kept pulling Tucker for defensive possessions late. He only had 2 fouls.

Tucker needs to connect with AJ Green’s personal trainer. AJ got so much stronger and fit. Tucker has the body of a 37 year old.

Because he was a defensive liability?
