Big, big day for the Bradley basketball program.

Top 100 senior Josh Cunningham committed to the Braves tonight. He is the #88 player according to Rivals.com and #98 on ESPN.com. Two time state champion at Chicago Morgan Park High School.

On paper, the best recruit for Bradley since Mitchell "J.J." Anderson.

Joins Fred Van Vleet as only MVC Top 100 recruits since at least 2006 (didn't find lists prior to that). The connections to Chicago, Morgan Park, and Mac Irvin Fire played huge dividends here.

Cunningham isn't a big time scorer yet but elite athlete, rebounder, and defender. Of course none of this means s*** if the kid stinks but good day for BU.

OK, now the thread rating the recruiting classes in the Valley can discuss Bradley.

Glad to see Bradley getting good recruits. The Braves need to be good if the Valley is going to be saved.

Cunningham is a steal for Bradley.

I must add though. SIU had a top 50 recruit in 2008.

Hopefully he pans out a bit better than Booker though. Not that he was awful but you'd expect a Top 50 recruit to play more than 15 mins and score 6 pts on average over his 4 years

Booker had one good AAU tourney to get his ranking. Cunningham is better as a HS senior than Booker was. We shall see how good of a college player he is.
