UNI completed its 2015 class with the signing of Aarius Austin. He's a 6-4 JUCO combo guard that played at DMACC last year and this year. Originally from the Chicago area and signed with UNI after originally committing and then decommitting from South Dakota State in the spring. Will have 2 years left to play.

Appears to be off to a good start to the year scoring 31 pts in their first game of the year. Averaged 11/4/2 last year.

Came out of left field for UNI fans, had not seen his name or seen him linked to UNI in any way.

Saw him play in the summer league hear in Des Moines. He's long and athletic. He's not real polished, but looks like he has a lot of upside.

By my count, this would be the 6th JUCO on the roster under Jake, 3rd on scholarship, not counting transfers or Chris Olivier (prep school)

Nate Buchheit (13-14)-walk-on, not on team this year
Kasey Semler (13-) walk-on, red-shirted last year

So, maybe the second who could be an impact.

This signing might indicate that Buss is not trying for a sixth year of eligibility.
