Bradley Commit - 6-10 C - Davante Cooper

Postby tribecalledquest » May 4th, 2015, 7:48 pm

Bradley signed 6-10 Center Davante Cooper. He is originally from Atlanta and played this last season at a prep school in Florida. Not much is known about him. He was a guy new assistant coach Mike Bargan was following when he was at Butler JUCO.

I imagine Cooper is a bit of a project but he is tall and a pretty good athlete.

West Oaks Prep is in Orlando. UE target Dainius Chatkevicius also played there. That team plays a lot of the highly ranked prep schools.
The preceding lesson in basketball is free of charge.

Thanks scooter.

Here is an updated story on Davante Cooper with quotes from Coach Wardle.

Also mentioned is that Peoria Notre Dame standout Peter Hanley will join the team as a preferred walk on. He is 6-6 and averaged 19 pts and 6.5 rebounds a game for PND. He won't ever see any time but he is a pretty good player and should really help in practices on this team.

And BU will still have four scholarships to give as it sounds like Anthony Fields will not return for his 5th year of eligibility.
