CBS cut away from the end of our championship game for a meaningless Big Ten game a couple of years ago. I don't think we have the leverage here.

CBS cut away from the 2013 Creighton-Wichita final to an IU/Michigan game (both ranked top 10 iirc) in Indiana & Michigan, but I believe the rest of the country was spared.

Ironically, the losers of those 2 games should've been the national championship matchup that year.
