Evansville Aces at Colorado State (Dec 1st)

Postby Ace Dad » November 27th, 2012, 2:49 pm

The Aces have the opportunity to show that they are for real this Saturday.

I hope the altitude does not negatively impact our players too much.

When does Evansville plan on arriving in Colorado to get their bodies used to the altitude?

The altitude can have an effect, but I think Evansville plays at a pace (similar to UNI) where it may be as big of a factor.

Hopefully Colt is back in full because he will be needed. This will be a test, but I don't think it is out of the question for the Aces to pull this one off.

According to the third page of their game notes they leave on Thursday, but it says they will travel for two days.

Not sure but the way that reads it looks like they are. I would have thought they would fly, that is an awful long drive.

I would guess that UE will bus to a major airport (Indianapolis or St. Louis), fly commercial to Denver, and then bus to Ft. Collins. That's basically the travel plan they had for Air Force in Colorado Springs. It doesn't make sense to charter when the nearest airport to Ft. Collins is Denver which is a hub airport for several commercial airlines.

I can take 7-8 hours and drive from the Kansas City area to Evansville or I can take 5-6 hours and fly from the Kansas City airport to the Evansville airport. Painful either way.

Hope we can slow down this guy, a transfer from the Big 10:

No complaints here. Family is healthy. I go back to work tommorow after a short vacation. And most important, the Aces are 4-2, albeit a weak 4-2. I may get to the Drake game if the weather and work cooperate.
