Based upon the stat sheet, the Blue Birds played pretty darn well.

The two glaring stat items were BS's field goal percentage and rebounds. They shot 60.4 overall and 52.6 from three. BS out rebounded CU by 31-18. Echenique only had 3 rebounds.

Marks shot 68.4%.

Sometimes a team will just run into a buzz saw and that is what happened tonight. If the teams played 10 games, the Blue Birds would win about 8.

The jays are going to struggle as long as they refuse to play defense. They can beat some teams with their offense but most upper level teams can score with the BJ's as well as play defense.

Some games you just hit that team that can't miss. Looks like Boise was that team. Rough loss for the Jays.

Walking out of CKA another fan outside mentioned Creighton lost and how happy they were. Immediately pissed me off for two reasons, 1) As much as I hate Creighton, we need all MVC teams to do well in the non-con to try and build some credibility for the MVC going into conference play, 2) I parlayed WSU -15.5 and Creighton -13.5
