Lusk making push to win back fan base

There were no firings, but I think the two who left knew Lusk was under pressure to make some moves. He could not go thru this off season w/o having made changes, so I think it was the "if you have an opportunity I'd take it" mutual agreement. His two hires were not eye opening, but seem to be bring some quick benefits both from an energy standpoint and more tangibly recruiting.

I am not a Lusk fan and have not been from early in his first year; he's a nice guy by all accounts, but has not been a very good coach. His one 20 win season was schedule enhanced with no real top level wins. His systems have been decidedly conservative and boring to watch, and his ability to either recruit, retain, or develop players questionable at best, terrible in certain cases.

But still everything is in place to win at a high level. JQH is complete with the addition of the ribbon scoreboard and when added with the new athletics learning center provide an impressive resource and facility package to recruit to. While never a "sell out nightly" community history shows with a decent product MSU will rank no lower than 3rd in attendance in the Valley and in the upper 3rd in college basketball, so ample support exists. Lusk has two years to parlay that into a better product on the court. Should be interesting.
